We must drop into where our brains hold the experience, where we have been pained or troubled, shift our awareness to a place of healing and overcoming rather than one of it still happening to you. Then, we can experience emotion and feeling tied to it and move forward from and into a different state of mind.
The state of mind it is happening to you in, is not the state of mind you heal or overcome from.
